Wiser Driver ProgramPresented by Arrabri Community House the course focuses on helping older drivers develop techniques and skills to become safer and wiser drivers. The course is friendly, informal, thought provoking and challenging.

The North Ringwood Community House have scheduled a new round of theirDigital Seniors Tablet Training very successful workshops aimed at helping Senior Australians increase skills and confidence in digital literacy. If you have access to  your own Ipad or Tablet you can attend a choice of course aimed at teaching  you how to use it in a variety of ways. Click on the picture for full details.


No Will. There is a Way!Salvation Army Wills Day

The Salvation Army is providing local people with the opportunity to make a Simple Will, or amend a current one in a ‘Community Wills Program’ during the first two weeks of November. With the support of local solicitors, The Salvation Army is able to provide this service for a donation of $50.00. Funds raised on the day will go to support the work of the Salvos in the City of Maroondah. To book an appointment please contact Melinda Cunneen on 1800 337 082 on Monday to Friday from 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. Appointments for the Wills Program are to be held at participating solicitors offices during the first two weeks of November, or as arranged by the solicitor and client. A Will Instruction sheet, voucher along with a letter containing solicitors contact details will be delivered by a representative from The Salvation Army and the donation is collected.

Life Circle Volunteers InformationHave you cared for someone at end of life?

LifeCircle is inviting community members with personal experience as family caregivers at
end of life to be trained and supported as Volunteer Mentors.

LifeCircle Mentors are matched with family caregivers, providing one to one confidential,
non-judgemental support. Mentors offer support including resources and skills to effectively
manage complex and complicated issues. Mentoring can continue for 13 months into

Applicants are required to have lived experience of caring at end of life (at least two years
ago), a mature outlook and good interpersonal skills.

Volunteer information session to be held early July in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.
